By taking this extract, you get the benefits of all three mushrooms in one bottle. Shiitake mushrooms (Lentinula Edodes)

Reishi mushrooms have long been used by rural populations the world over, and are now being viewed by even the scientific community as one of the strongest immune-modulators known to man. It enhances immune function by acting as a biological response modifier. Reishi has been found to have a high number of Triterpenoids - steroid like compounds that decrease allergenic reactions and histamines.4  These can lead to significant relief with those people suffereing from bronchitis, asthma, and allergies, both food and air borne. Reishi mushrooms have also been shown to reduce tumor growth,5 be a strong anti-viral, and help decrease fatigue. Reishi mushrooms also carry the compound lanostanic triterpenoid, which have anti-inflammatory constituencies, and have been used in the treatment of arthritis.6  Also, a water extract of fruiting bodies of Reishi, induced free radical scavenging activity in the human body.7  Reishi mushroom tincture continues to be recommended in the health care community for any one with a compromised immune system.

Shiitake mushrooms have been used for centuries to stimulate the human immune system, assisting us in our resistance to diseases.  They have been the center of medicinal mushroom research since the 1960's.  Shiitake's stimulate the human body to produce lymphocytes, macrophages and interferon, which are our internal infection fighting agents and liver fortifying.  They are also proven anti-tumor agents in Shiitake, and they have long been used in the treatment of ovarian cysts as well as other kinds of cancer.1  Shiitake's are also known to have broad spectrum anti-bacterial properties and have been used to inhibit the over growth of Candida albicans; yeast overgrowth leading to bacterial vaginitus and other major stomach imbalances, as well as Streptococcus pyogenes(strept throat); Staphylococcus aureus, staph infections and Bacillus megaterium.2  Shiitakes have been proven to lower blood cholesterol as well as treat Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.3  They also contain high amounts of B6, B12, and D2.  A steady suppy of B and D vitamins in ones diet helps to balance the nervous system, regulate emotions and sleeping patterns, and can increase sexual vigor.
