We've intentionally kept our prices low to compensate for the cost of shipping.
For
Example our 1 LB (454g) bags of Guayaki Traditonal Yerba Mate are
listed on our site for $15.00 where in retail grocery stores they range from $18.99 to 23.99. Our 1/2 LB
(227g) are listed for $9.50 on the website and typically retail for $11.99 to 13.50.
The
best way for you to maximize the value of your order is to combine it
in a way that spreads the cost of shipping over many products.

Shipping Policies:
NorthernItes
Syndicate ships exclusively within Canada with Canada Post as it is the
only carrier that benefits ALL Canadians in ALL regions of the Country.
We are a Canadian-based company and offer our service to benefit ALL
Canadians regardless of geographical location. We offer both the
Expedited Parcel™ and Xpresspost™services as outlined by Canada Post in
accordance with their posted terms and conditions.
We
ship the Expedited Parcel™service in the place of Regular Parcel
service as it is the same cost with the added bonus of on-line tracking
ability. We find this added ability is of great value to our clients so
we process all transactions with this tracking ability.
Once
the parcel has been delivered to Canada Post we do not have the ability
to change, correct or re-direct the parcel. At this point the liability
of the parcel and its contents no longer belong to the NorthernItes
Syndicate. It is the responsibility of the order placer to ensure that
the shipping information provided is accurate and correct. If we
receive a successful delivery notice from Canada Post then we deem the
parcel to be successfully delivered.
Expedited
Parcel™ is a cost-effective, ground delivery service for documents and
parcels within Canada.
Expedited Parcel service includes
the following features:

• Delivery confirmation and the ability to track your items online from start to finish.
Xpresspost™
shipping service is a fast and affordable way to get your goods where
they need to go.
Xpresspost service includes the following

◦ Regional – next day and 2 days
◦ National – 2 days
• Delivery confirmation and the ability to track your items online from start to finish.
*Delivery
standards are within business days for items sent between most major
urban centres and are dependent upon origin and destination. All Canada
Post services (including without limitation, delivery guarantees) are
subject to terms and conditions.
Parcels
lost in the Canada Post system will be replaced, inventory permitting,
by NorthernItes Syndicate within a reasonable time frame once the Canada
Post Investigation is complete. This process usually takes up to 5
business days once initiated by Canada Post. NorthernItes Syndicate can
only issue a replacement order upon Canada Post's conclusion of their
investigation. Parcels that cannot be replaced by NorthernItes Syndicate
in a reasonable time frame will be refunded.
Once the package enters the Canada Post system, NorthernItes Syndicate can no longer be held responsible for the condition of the contents. There is a $100 insurance policy on all shipments. If you would like to purchase extra insurance this may be done so at the rate of $1.50 per $100. The easiest way to do this is to purchase a Gift Certificate for the appropriate amount and make a note in order comments.
Order Processing:
We aim to process and fill all orders within 36 hours of receipt (not counting weekends or holidays.)
If you wish to make
any changes to your order, please do so immediately, as often we can
process and ship the same day as the order is received.
Note: When
calculating shipping times, the estimate given by Canada Post reflects
the time the parcel takes to ship once it has entered the system. This
does not include processing time so to account for the time it would
take to get to your door account for up to 36 hours of business days on
top of the shipping estimate.
