LiViTY environmental and social standards defined -
"Every factory we work with must be evaluated by established third party auditors and certified to be of the highest standard for labor and environmental compliance. We usually rely on the larger companies who engage these suppliers and access their information as the audit and review process is very expensive and lengthy. We use several third party reports to insure our manufacturers are compliant with the best labor and environmental standards, firms include WRAP, SKAL, SGS- CSCTC, and ITS for textile fiber review.
With our smaller suppliers, co-ops or small family artisan units in Jamaica, Ecuador, Ghana, as well as China, we visit the facilities personally and insure the conditions are equivalent if not better than our lager factories operational standards for both the workers and the earth. LiViTY has provided direct financial assistance to our smaller manufacturers in the form of micro loans to assist in the purchase of materials for production, as well as directly providing equipment and supplies to help improve efficiency, working conditions, and to assist in the re-establishment of their facilities after natural calamities affects their operations.
LiViTY is committed to ensure that our suppliers not only comply to the global standards for organic and socially compliant production, but that they work to exceed these standards. LiViTY is making plans to localize its manufacturing as fast as possible, bringing production as close to market as possible, and supporting the local economies that support our brand. Our goal is more than to comply with current standards. We seek to raise the bar.
LiViTY's fundamental mission is social justice and preservation of the earth. "
